Field Practice is led by James Woodcock, an architect and engineer with 15 years’ experience in the industry.
Prior to establishing Field Practice, James led the Technical division at Citu, an innovative low-carbon housing developer working across Yorkshire.
Before this he worked on pioneering Passivhaus projects with industry leaders Architype, delivered award-winning infrastructure with Webb Yates Engineers, and worked for Arup on the redevelopment of BBC Television Centre.
James completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield, with postgraduate studies at London Metropolitan University and The Bartlett at University College London. He leads a studio on the Masters Architecture course at the University of Sheffield, and is a trustee of Sheffield-based charity Arts Catalyst.
